In this two-part webinar (that can be viewed together or independently), Dorman Training Center instructor Pete Meier will share the three steps to success when faced with a driveability concern. He will also show you the diagnostic power of your Global OBD II scan tool and explain why it is the first tool you should grab when tackling any concern that turns on the Check Engine light or results in a no-code customer complaint. To complete the repair, Pete will share additional resources that will help you paint a clear picture of the concern, and ultimately, what is causing the concern.
In the second course of this two-part series, Dorman Training Center instructor Pete Meier will show you how any driveability concern can be broken down and isolated into one of four possible scenarios. Once the general fault is isolated, it then becomes a simple matter of performing high-level testing using the scan tool, DVOM or scope to finally nail down the cause of the concern. Using the techniques and information Pete presents will help you increase your efficiency in diagnosing driveability customer concerns, with or without a related DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code), and reduce the comebacks generated by improper diagnostic conclusions.
