Dorman Training Center Instructor Josh Weaver covers the modern fuel system. Learn the evolution of fuel delivery from returnless systems through today's high-pressure gasoline direct injection systems. Josh will touch on fuel system diagnostics including testing procedures for fuel pump pressure and volume as well as using current as a diagnostic tool when testing fuel pumps and fuel injectors. We’ll approach different methods for testing these systems using traditional and more advanced testing equipment. Josh will demonstrate the use of conventional pressure gauges and multimeters as well as more advanced equipment like lab scopes and scan tools.
